Sabaat Kareem (b. 1997) is a drawing and collage artist currently based between London and Boston. Her practice focuses on exploring how the evolution of symbols and characters associated with fantasy storytelling help to mediate fear and contribute to a collective consciousness. Much of her work involves the recontextualization of famous mythological or religious figures into secular or subversive roles. 

She is received her BA in history and English literature from Bryn Mawr College and is currently completing her MFA from Goldsmiths University.
